Today I would like to introduce you all to the company called Emerald Brand who makes a wide variety of eco-friendly products. When you shop at Emerald Brand you will find eco friendly towels, toilet paper, napkins, facial tissues, toilet seat covers, cutlery, hot cups, lids, plates and so much more!
Before I get started with my review today, I want to give you some information that was provided to me from the company.
For over 15 years, Emerald has been producing sustainable household products that are all made from unique, alternative and renewable materials. Some of these materials include: USDA Certified Sugarcane “Bagasse” (the fibrous material left after the extraction of sugar from the sugarcane. Bagasse replaces the need to cut down acres of virgin forest wood to produce paper goods. Plant starch resin – which is extracted from corn and other crops to replace petroleum based forks, knives and spoons. DFE (EPA)/Green Seal Certified Cleaning Chemicals.
All of Emerald’s paper products are Eco-Friendly because they are partially made with Bagasse and all have USDA BioPreferred Certification. Their utensils are made with corn starch and their paper plates are coated with eco-friendly clay coating. The best thing about Emerald is that all of their eco-friendly products are affordable, so every household should be using them!
For the review I was sent a large sample box of items to try out for all of you. Here is what I received: (1) Pack of 500 Naturally Soft Napkins, (1) Pack of 150 Naturally Soft Dinner Napkins, (1) box of 95 sheets of Facial Tissues, (1) box of 100 sheets of Facial Tissues, (1) roll of 75 sheets of Strong & Absorbent Paper Towels, (1) roll of 500 2-ply sheets of Naturally Soft Bath Tissue, (1) small bottle of Earth Essence Glass Cleaner, (1) small bottle of Earth Essence All-Purpose Cleaner, (1) pack of dinner plates, (1) pack of dessert/snack plates, (1) pack of beverage cups, (1) pack of forks, (1) pack of spoons and (1) pack of butter knives. Phew, that is a lot of stuff! Yeah!!!!
I was really excited about doing this review as I try to purchase as many eco-friendly products that I can. We are in the process of moving right now and I have been hosting several “movers” at my home for the past few weekends. I have been going through disposable products like crazy right now trying to “feed” the worker-bees and to clean the new house and the old house at the same time!

I will now briefly tell you about each product I received. The napkins are indeed soft, a really nice size and very absorbent! The facial tissues were one of my favorite products that I received as I don’t like facial tissues that contain chemicals, lotions, menthol and all of those other funky things you can find in them these days. Due to my allergies, I just want a nice, soft facial tissue and these fit the bill perfectly!
The paper towels are absolutely awesome! I used them for cleaning mirrors and windows while using the Earth Essence Cleaners that they sent along with them. The paper towels are super absorbent and they don’t fall apart in the middle of your cleaning task. The glass cleaner leaves no streaks or smudges and that all-purpose cleaner quickly removed grime and grease from my stove-top.
I used all of the plates, cups, forks, knives, spoons & napkins while feeding the worker bees! LOL Everything held up wonderfully and I appreciated that I could use those items in my microwave oven! Yeah!!!! Finally, the bath tissue. The bath tissue is absorbent and my only gripe is that I have used & felt softer bath tissue. I am really picky about bath tissue and some day I would like to see them improve a little bit more on the “softness” of that bath tissue.
So, there you have it! My truthful and unbiased opinion on all of the products I received for the review. I would buy all of those products and use them EVERY day…except for the bath tissue. I believe these products are fabulous alternatives to all of those non-earth friendly products that are currently out in the marketplace. I give these products a huge two-thumbs up!
