It is time for almost wordless Wednesday here and we have a special event to share with you. My son turned 17 this past Monday and we had a long weekend of celebrations, starting with a dinner at Famous Dave’s for him and several of his friends. They then hit the movies and that was a fun event. The kids had a great time and the adults did too. Love the BBQ at Famous Dave’s!
The next day, we went up to his God fathers house where he was given his first car! WOW! Although it is used, it was used gently. It is a great car that will take him into college and beyond hopefully. Here is a photo of the kid and his new car! Happy Birthday Son!
I am glad that your son had a great time. He is lucky to have gotten a car. Good luck to him in it and at college. He certainly looks happy.
The joy on his face is so evident. What a handsome son. 🙂 Congrats and a belated Happy Birthday to him. I remember tearing up when my 2 sons hit 17 and got their first cars. It’s when I realized my little boys weren’t so little anymore. 🙂

Congrats to you and your son! I hope he had a great birthday. It sounds like all of you had a wonderful time. We always made a point of having family dinners on our kids birthday. They could choose where they wanted to go or something they wanted me to cook. And a new car! Wow! Gently used or new-to-you are the best first cars. I hope he enjoys it.
