Sugary Sweet Baked Carrots with Dill Recipe
Carrots are another vegetable that I am not too terribly fond of. However, my husband is a huge fan of carrots, just as long as they are cooked and sweetened up.
A few years ago his mother gave me her recipe for these baked carrots and if you enjoy carrots, you will like this recipe.
Sugary Sweet Baked Carrots with Dill Recipe
1 lb. fresh carrots, sliced
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 to 1 teaspoon dill
Peel and slice carrots to 1/4″ thickness. Place then in a 2 quart casserole dish with water. Cover and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and stir in the butter, brown sugar and dill. Cover and place back into the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes. Serve immediately.
