Planning a Trip to Marthas Vineyard for our 27th Wedding Anniversary

My husband and I will be celebrating our 27th Wedding Anniversary on April 12th, 2013 and want to plan a trip up to Marthas Vineyard to celebrate. We visited the area before and loved it, now we want to return in the spring.

I got online yesterday and was looking around for some Marthas Vineyard hotels and found several that fit within our budget. The last time we visited, we stayed at a lovely Bed & Breakfast Inn, and this time…we want to stay in a luxury hotel. Yes folks, I want to enjoy some spa services and pampering while we are there!

Once I get our hotel accommodations booked, it will be time to plan out all of our activities. So far, here is a list of the things we would like to do.

Martha's Vineyard

* Horseback Riding on the Beach
* Kayaking or Canoeing
* Go Hiking in Little Bay Park and hike through Cape Cod National Seashore
* Visit the Bayberry Hill Conservation Area
* Visit the Massachusetts Audubon Society
* Visit the Paw Wah Point Conservation Area
* Hike the Seymour Pond Trail
* Visit the South Cape Beach State Park
* Visit the Ashumet Holly and Wildlife Sanctuary
* Shop at the Cape Cod Factory Outlet Mall
* Shop at the Cape Cod Mall
* Play a Round of Golf at the Falmouth Country Club
* Visit the Chequessett Yacht & Country Club
* Book a Whale Watching Tour with Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch
* Book an Afternoon Deep-Sea Fishing Excursion
* Shop at the Cape Cod Potters (I love pottery)
* Shop at the Jobi Pottery and Truro Fine Art Studio
* Play a few Rounds of Miniature Golf
* Beachcombing for new Seashells for my Collection
* Visit a Local Quilt Shop and/or Antique Store

Our trip will only be for 10 days and 9 nights, so I am hoping that we can squeeze in everything that we would like to do. This won’t be a rest & relaxation trip, but more of a let’s run & do everything type of trip!

Have any of you every visited Marthas Vineyard before? If so, what kind of things did you go out to see and do? I would love to hear about your trip!

This is a compensated post however, all the points and views are my own.
