Pearls and I go way back. I love them so much! I think many women find them too classic or yuppie or even preppy. Black is not a natural color in pearls although they are harvested in many fabulous colors such as pink, peach, lavender and white. The black pearls are dyed with a permanent, color-treated organic dye that creates a dark coloration, similar to that found in exotic Tahitian pearls. The result is a strand with a rich luster and a lovely hue to them. There are slight shades of green, red and purple metallic color to these pearls so no matter what you wear, the black will look stunning.
