Love’s Christmas Journey DVD Movie Review
On October 30th, 2012 the movie titled “Love’s Christmas Journey” was released on DVD. Up until now, I had never heard of this movie so I was excited to see it. Have any of you seen it yet?
Here is some information about the movie.
Synopsis: While still mourning the loss of her husband and daughter, recently widowed Ellie visits her brother Aaron and his children for Christmas. Ellie does her best to enjoy the holidays, even making new friends. Settling in nicely, Ellie also meets Erik, a young man abandoned by his outlaw father whom Aaron has taken in as one of his own. When Aaron travels out of town to purchase adjacent land for farming, Ellie agrees to watch his children, but the season’s festivities are threatened when Aaron goes missing.
My Thoughts: I love holiday theme movies and I was really excited to sit down with my family and view this one. The beginning of the movie is really sad because Ellie recently lost her husband and daughter. For awhile, she is depressed about the loss of her family and things are looking bleak for her. Her brother invites her to come and spend Christmas with them as a way to cheer her up and to bring her closer to her family.
She ends up spending quite a few weeks with her brother and over those weeks she makes some new friends and meets a handsome young guy named Erik who has had a troubled past himself. The two of them “hit” it off and feelings between them begin to develop. He has to leave town on business and while he is gone, Ellie is watching his children when she gets the terrible news that Erik is missing. At that point in the movie, I thought to myself…this poor woman, can she possibly endure anymore heart ache? Geesh!
Anyway, I don’t want to tell you the end of the story as I want you all to go out and pick up a copy of this DVD. It’s a great movie that you can sit down with your family to watch during one of your family movie nights. While the movie does start off on a heart-breaking note, by the end of the movie there is some good news for Ellie! (that’s all I am going to say!). This is a great holiday DVD to add to your holiday DVD collection or to purchase and give as a holiday gift this year!
