Hurricane Sandy – You Suck! The Weekend Clean-up

For the past 4 days we have been super busy working 10 to 12 hours a day cleaning up after Hurricane Sandy blew threw Pennsylvania a week ago. Last week I posted a few photos of some of her damage that she caused us and today, I thought I would post a few more. My hubby videotaped the damage for insurance purposes but I was able to snag a few “still” photos from his digital camera.

Holy cows am I sore today…seriously, I think every bone, muscle, tendon, nerve and well…just about everything and everywhere on my body is hurting today! I seriously need a long 3 week vacation to some tropical spa somewhere sunny & warm to recooperate!

We sawed up trees that fell, raked up a million or so leaves and small tree branches, cleaned up 2 of our yards, fixed a fence, fixed 2 busted out windows, 3 downed rain spouts, bagged up a ton of roofing shingles and other garbage, and all kinds of other things. It really has been a big pain-in-the-ass and tough work!

The photo shows the massive flood waters that poured down our street and driveaway when Hurricane Sandy made her arrival. Once all of the water went down, we were left with a big mess! OH MY GOSH…a BIG BIG BIG mess!

With that said, we faired a lot better than those poor folks in New Jersey and New York. The pictures and news resports are just terrible for those hard hit areas and my heart really goes out to all them along with my prayers.

I am glad that our electrical power has been back on for the past few days along with our phone service. Not having them for a few days…was driving me crazy! Plus, it’s cold here in Pennsylvania and freezing, was not fun!!!

Anyway, for those of you who are still suffering from the terrible effects from Hurricane Sandy, please know that we all are thinking about you and praying for a quick recovery.
