We received the 12″ Giraffe Hotpak Huggies to review for all of you. We were super excited to get the giraffe because Princess Gia gets a lot of tummy flu’s from attending preschool and I do NOT let her use a traditional heating pad.
As I explained above, the Hotpak Huggies can be used as a heating pad or as an ice pack and we decided to try it out as a heating pad. We followed the instructions that came with our Giraffe and placed “her” into the microwave at 30 second intervals until she was hot, but not scorching. I removed her and made sure she wasn’t too hot for Princess Gia.
I gave her the giraffe and had her lay down on my sofa with her favorite blankie. She held the hotpak huggies on her belly and told me that it was “fuzzy warm”. About 20 minutes later she fell asleep so the Hotpak Huggies did it’s job by soothing her tummy pain caused by a tummy ache. When she got up from her nap (70 minutes later), the Hotpak Huggies was still warm! They can stay warm for up to 6 hours which is super impressive!
Since receiving our Giraffe Hotpak Huggies, Princess Gia has used it several times! She has been taking it with her in the car to help keep warm in the early morning hours (going to preschool) and she uses it to help soothe tummy aches at home. We absolutely LOVE this product!!!
