Creamy Baked Peas Side-Dish Recipe

I have to admit, I love most vegetables but peas happen to be one of my least favorites. When I do eat peas, they have to be “doctored” up in a way for me to enjoy them.

Today I am going to share with all of you one of my baked peas recipes that would make a great side dish to go along with your main course meat.

Creamy Baked Peas Recipe

20 oz. bag of frozen peas
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Place the melted butter in a 2 quart baking dish, a casserole dish works well. Thaw the peas for 5 to 1o minutes at room temperature and break them up. Place peas and the can of cream of celery soup into the casserole dish, stirring to combine. Sprinkle salt, ground black pepper and seasoned bread crumbs on top.

Place casserole dish into a preheated 350 degree oven and bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove and serve immediately.

This appears to be a delicious creamed pe recipe. Another simple pea recipe is to cook a bag of creamed white onions with the peas and add fresh dill.

I don’t know how I missed this one. But I love it. We eat anything creamed. 🙂 And it’s such a simple solution. Thanks for sharing another great recipe.

I have to admit, I would probably love this dish- so much like creamed peas! I dont make that dish enough as hubby isnt to keen on it maybe he would go for it with the bread crumbs though 🙂
