Fall is here and the holiday season is just around the corner! There will be plenty of family get-togethers, holiday office parties and other holiday festivities to attend. Instead of heading to your local salon to get a pretty new hairstyle, you can save your money and do it at home. How you must ask? Well, with some cool new hairstyling tools from Conair.
For the review, I received 2 new Conair products to evaluate for all of you. The first one is the You Wave Ultra Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron. This curling iron is really easy-to-use and will help you to create gorgeous beachy-looking waves in your hair.
It heats up to 400 degrees F, almost instantly! The tourmaline ceramic technology gives you more protection, reduces frizz, reduces static and will give you no damaging hot spots. The protective outer housing retains heat for longer-lasting waves and reduces the risk of heat contact.
The directions on how to use this new hairstyling tool are printed right on the back of the package it comes in. Included with the curling iron are 2 bonus sectioning clips and it comes with a generous 5 year warranty. I love that Conair stands behind their products.
I have naturally spiral curly looking hair that is very long and ultra thick. For the most part, I wear my hair down but at times, I do pull it up. During high humidity days or bad weather days, my hair tends to frizz out. I decided to try this curling iron a few days ago to curl my hair which had a lot of frizzing going on. Trust me, curls don’t look nice if frizz is involved. The curling iron was fully heated up within 30 seconds and I was ready to go.
It took me about 20 minutes to go around my head and I did use the sectioning clips to section off my hair as I went. The curling iron did a great job of getting rid of the frizz and it did produce a nice looking wavy curl, not a spiral curl like I normally have. The only drawback to the curling iron is…that it is semi-heavy and my arm & hands did get a little tired. Would I use this every day? No, it’s too heavy but I would use it (and will use it) for special days when I want a wavy style curl.
The second item I received in the Conair Retractable Round Bristle Brush to evaluate for all of you. I use a round hair brush every day and just prefer them for my type of hair style and hair thickness. This brush is a patented and features retractable bristles that retract into the barrel of the brush, instantly releasing hair to eliminate tangles when styling.
It’s really easy-to-use and you simply rotate base to release bristles and then press the button to retract the bristles back into the barrel. What I love about this brush is it’s hygiene properties…when the bristles are retracted, you can rinse it under water to remove residue…not hair gets wound up around it! Yeah! I have been using this hair brush every day since receiving it…and it’s now my go-to hair brush! Love it!
