I live in the upper north east and every winter season, we get hammered with a lot of rain, snow, sleet and ice. When Fall hits, I start preparing my family for the upcoming Winter season by getting us all new coats, sweaters, snow boots, hats and of course, gloves.
When it comes to gloves and mittens, I am pretty picky about them. I don’t like thin and cheap gloves as they don’t keep our hands warm. I also like my gloves a longer length, going a little ways up my forearm. The longer length just keeps our hands warmer for a longer period of time.
Recently I was sent a pair of Women’s Homespun Gloves from Grandoe to review for all of you. The gloves are in an “extended length” style with a little gathering on the sides. The have a knit pattern “moose tracks” pattern on the top and the microsuede palm is water resistant. If you look at the seaming done on the knit pattern part of the gloves, you will see a decorative whip stitch seam which gives them that homespun appearance.
The gloves are what I could call a “medium-weight” glove…not too bulky and definitely not on the “thin” side. They are completely lined in a super soft snowfleece lining that adds a layer of warmth to the gloves.
Now…what makes these gloves even more special is that the snowfleece lining has been treated with Aloe! That’s right, with Aloe! While you are wearing the gloves to keep your hands warm, you are getting a mini spa treatment inside! Aloe is great for softening dry patches of skin on your hands and feet!
I have been wearing my new gloves for over a week now and I absolutely LOVE them! It is already cold here in Pennsylvania and these gloves are doing a great job at keeping my hands warm and my hands are getting softer by the day, thanks to the Aloe! Finally, I think they are super stylish looking and they go great with all of my different winter coats! Yeah!!
The Grandoe Homespun Gloves are available in four unique patterns: Moose Tracks, Snowflake, Rainbow and Lavender. Grandoe products are available in nearly every major market in the United States and in select markets around the world.

I wish I had these right now! I’m freezing. These look great.
You’re going to be needing these this week with the big storm. They look nice and warm.
These sound wonderful and love the longer length too. I love the idea that they soften your hands while you wear them. I definitely have to get a pair of these.
I too like the longer glove and these look so very soft to me from the picture. I’ve never heard of gloves being treated with Aloe before so this is amazing to me. I’m going to check out their site and see what they offer. Thanks for the review.

These look really warm and sound great! My daughter is always cold, especially her hands and feet. These would be wonderful for her! I love that they have a water resistant lining and fleece on the inside. Warm and useful. Hope they keep your hands warm and you safe this season.
Wow these look so warm and cozy. I don’t think I’d want to take them off. I love the insides are treated with aloe, what I great idea.
