I love looking at stars. For as long as I can remember, I’ve looked up at the sky just to see them twinkle. In old notebooks and journals, I found stars drawn all over the pages. I was just a bit into them. As a parent I’ve taught my kids to wish upon a star just like my parents taught me. You would think I’d have at least a star somewhere in my home, but I don’t. I don’t think of stars as decor at all until we put up the holiday tree – – with tons of clear lights so it looks like a starry night. When Birando offered me a pair of Wish Stars, I decided to take the plunge.

I had seen them, before, but didn’t consider picking one up. First thing I noticed is how lovely they are. Without lights these handmade paper lanterns are beautiful. They come fully assembled, so all I had to do was pull the strings together to bring the stars to life. I hung mine from the front porch and received quite a few compliments. If I want to light them up, I’ll be sure to stick with the recommended wattage (40 watt or lower CFL bulbs or hanging LED lights). As long as I keep them dry, Wish Stars are reusable and portable.
I love them! While mine are not lit, the photos of Wish Stars aglow are gorgeous! I can see them decorating a room for a birthday celebration or lighting up a corner of a child’s room. My kids would have loved them when they were younger.
