I want to admit right at the top of this next review that my husband and I are HUGE fans of the Mohawk rug company and have been purchasing their smaller-sized rugs for many years. Today, we are super excited to be reviewing a full-size area rug for all of you.
If you are not familiar with Mohawk, they sell high-quality floor coverings for every area in your home or place of business. You can find door mats, carpet runners, area rugs, hardwood flooring, tile flooring, etc. all by the great folks over at Mohawk. Our Mohawk Rug Review: The great folks over at Mohawk sent us their gorgeous Abstract Sea Multi 60-in x 84-in Rectangular Multicolor Transitional Area Rug to review for all of you. As you all know, we are gutting & remodeling an old home that we will be moving into later next month. Most of our decor in that home will be coastal theme’d and finding coastal theme area rugs…is pretty tough. The great folks over at Mohawk have rugs and carpets in all kinds of different home decor styles, so I am sure they have the perfect area rug for your home too!
The area rug that we selected is only available through Lowe’s right now and only available in the 60″ by 84″ size. I am hoping that Mohawk will consider designing and manufacturing some additional coastal designs in the near future.
The rug is made out of durable 100% nylon and is super soft to the touch. One of the things that really impresses me about this area rug is that it is entirely made here in the U.S.A. The colors in the rug are made up of shades of ocean blue, browns, taupe and just a hint of ivory/white. The design reminds me of an “abstract” watercolor painting of the sea! Did I say….gorgeous, yet? OH MY!!!
My rug arrived super quickly to my home and we simply unrolled it from it’s packaging. We were immediately able to lay it down onto our wall-to-wall carpet in our living room. Although the photos temporarily show it in my living room, it will be moved into our master bedroom once the hardwood flooring is complete. (that room is still being remodeled).
The edges of this area rug are beautifully finished off! There is no unraveling of threads, binding, backing or carpeting…any where! It is immaculate and impeccably made! I can see this area rug being used in a living room, den, home office, guest bedroom, master bedroom…well, any where you may need a new area rug!
We love our new Mohawk area rug and it is absolutely perfect for our new home! It is extremely well-made, durable and super soft underneath your feet. The colors in the rug are perfect for just about any room in our new home. For now, it’s in the living room and I know that when we move it into the master bedroom, it will look just as beautiful there too!
