Took the Little Princess to the Pumpkin Patch Today!

October 6, 2012 by Shelly

Pumpkin Patch

We got up really early today and took our little grand daughter to the local Pumpkin Patch to hunt down the perfect Halloween pumpkins! Princess Gia is going to be 3 1/2 years old next month and is finally old enough to go to the Pumpkin Patch with us.

This was her first trip and she was really excited about it! It was cloudy this morning and a little chilly, but boy…she had a great time running up and down the Pumpkin Patch trying to find the perfect pumpkins!

She had tried to lift some of the pumpkins but they were too heavy for her. Pappy (my hubby) and Princess Gia’s daddy, ended up being our pumpkin carriers for the day. After spending 40 minutes in the pumpkin patch, we found 4 perfect Halloween pumpkins!

Tomorrow afternoon will be pumpkin carving time and pumpkin decorating time and I will get some photos of the finished Halloween pumpkins then. Do any of you take your kids or grandkids to the local pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins?

This was our first time taking Princess Gia but from now on, we are going to try to take her every year with us when we go.

How great for you and her! It’s a wonderful experience being with your grand kids. I hope you have lots of photos. My grandkids don’t live close, but last year they came up from Florida and we went to cut down a Christmas tree. They got to experience snow and cold and hot chocolate…which has become a favorite of my grandson. I wish you many more experiences with your granddaughter. Have fun!
