The Marriage Trap by Jennifer Probst
Looking for a great book to read this Fall? If so, I got a great one to share with you today called “The Marriage Trap” by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author named Jennifer Probst.
ISBN: 978-1-4767-1751-7 and it’s published by Simon and Schuster.
Book Synopsis: To satisfy his later father’s wishes, hot and single billionaire Michael Conte must find a bride, someone who will fit into his traditional family back home in Italy – and fast, so his engaged sister will be allowed to wed. With no intention of being tied down, Michael hatches a plan and “proposes” to fiery, free-spirited photographer Maggie Ryan; if she will play the part of his fiance during her trip to Milan for a photo shoot, he will keep away from her married best friend, Alexa, and stop making Maggie nuts with their too-close-for-comfort flirtations. But once in Italy, sexual tension sparks the hottest no-strings-attached arrangement on any continent. Could marriage be the most enticing trap of all?
My Thoughts: In the beginning the book and story line started out pretty slow. I actually struggled to stay interested in the book until around Chapter 4. Once I got into a few chapters, it was hard to put it down. The character named Maggie is an independent woman who is confident and a control freak. She is a fiesty photographer who was looking for the perfect man but was too busy with her job to find him. Michael was using Maggie in the beginning for his “own” needs and to “trick” his family into thinking he was in-love and engaged.
Through the story their relationship turns into a “heated” sexual relationship and then blossoms into love. The two really didn’t seem to fit together but some how in the end…you could never imagine the two of them being apart. Did he end up with Maggie in the end? Did they split? Well, I know what happened and it was a pretty predictable ending…hot, steamy and well…I will leave the rest to your imagination. You will have to read the book if you want to know what happened!
