Last week my hubby and I took our 3 1/2 year old little grand daughter for a drive around the neighborhood so that Princess Gia could see some of the Spookylicious Halloween Yard Art. Here in our area, all of the neighbors go “way out” on spooking up their front and back yards.
Well, after driving around our neighborhood for about 10 minutes, we came across this particular house and Princess Gia just loved it! At first I thought she would be “afraid” of the decorations, but she wasn’t! She got right out of the car and took a look around. I was really surprised at the crowd that had gathered around this one particular house.
My photo isn’t that great because I had to use my camera flash, but I think you can see enough in the photo that really shows how this neighbor really put some time and money into their Halloween yard decorations.
There were flying & cackling witches, numerous tombstones, flying bats, spooky ghosts, eerie Halloween lights and they had some fabulous spooky sounds & music coming out of a speaker system. It was really something to see!
Do any of you take your kids out to see all of the Halloween yard decorations? If so, do they like it or are they afraid of it? Do you decorate your front and/or back yards for Halloween? Do you do a lot of yard decorating like that particular family or do you do just a little?

When my own kids were smaller the neighbors decorated for Halloween the way they do for Christmas. It was such a great memory to recall all the drives we would take after dinner and see all the decorations and lights. Unfortunately very few people decorate around us now for Halloween and I ca honestly say the last two years no one has even come to the door to trick or treat. They focus mainly on the trunk or treat now for the little ones.

Thanks ladies for your comments! We are going to take Princess Gia out for another drive this weekend and hopefully I can get some better pics of Halloween Yard Art as we drive around. I love seeing it!
Our neighborhood REALLY goes all out for Christmas 🙂
I work at the library, and there is one patron that likes to talk about his Halloween display. My family always tries to go see it. People decorate with an inflatable or maybe a witch in a tree around my neighborhood. Nothing like your displays but still nice to see as you drive around. It just adds to the fall/Halloween season. I’m glad your family found this display and that your granddaughter enjoyed it.
such cute ideas, wish it were bigger in our area.
We only do a few decorations now and definitely only in the front yard but I did just take the boy I watch on a walk to see the decorations the neighbors had up! He really enjoyed all of them and it is amazing what some people do to decorate! Our favorite was a graveyard setup with a life size witch and devil lurking in the tree. It’s fun to see what people come up with 🙂
