We love making a wide variety of tuna salad and chicken salad recipes, and often times, we will enjoy one or the other about once a week and usually as a weekday lunch.
To mix up the traditional tuna salad or chicken salad for our sandwiches, I will toss in some chopped olives, minced garlic, minced onions, green grapes, purple grapes, Ocean Spray Craisins, Raisins and all kinds of other things. I try to keep it fresh and interesting for my family.
My question for all of you today…our dear blog readers is this:
For those of you who make tuna salad and/or chicken salad sandwiches, what kind of things do you enjoy tossing into your favorite recipe? I am looking for some new ideas!
Please leave your tips and recipe suggestions below. Thanks!

I use a good pickle relish, dab of Dijon Mustard, good mayonnaise, celery, red onion, red grapes and dried cranberries for my chicken salad. I will also add a little fresh tarragon vinegar and sugar to taste. With Tuna you can do the same thing..
How fun and creative! I like the typical mayo and relish but sometimes we will add celery or eggs to it. You can even throw in some fritos for crunch. My daughter has taken to putting spicy mustard in hers. If you like it with grapes, you might think about eating it on apple slices instead of crackers.
I love tuna salad. I do like the idea of mixing chopped olives in it. I would have never thought of that, but it is a great idea. It is nice to try different combos.
I love mixing up my tuna or chicken salad as well : ) I use celery, onions, cucumbers and apple usually.
oh…adding apples and cucumbers is a great idea! I need to try that!
I never thought of grapes or olives as an addition. Will try it on my next tuna salad sandwich
I’m always looking for ideas too. I use celery, onion, red grapes, cranberries, nothing unusual. I love chicken salad.
