Figure Flattering Downeast Swimwear

Many of us are well into the grips of Fall and Winter is just around the corner. For some of us, we are planning our Fall, Winter and Holiday vacations and some of those vacations are at tropical destinations. For my husband and I, we plan on hitting the Bahamas in December and that means, I will need some new swimwear!

I was looking around online and found downeast swimwear and was immediately impressed with what I saw. I am a mature woman in her mid 40’s and I prefer modest looking swimwear that flatters my figure. Let’s face it, I am not as skinny as I used to be after having kids!

I was really impressed by all of the great solid colors and fabulous looking prints that their swimwear comes in. You can get one-pieces swimsuits, bikinis, tankinis, skirtinis, swim bottoms and even some cute cover-ups! Wow, their selection is really nice!

For our upcoming trip in December, I was thinking about getting two different bathing suits, one for the pool and one for the beach. This way, while one is drying, I can be wearing the other one or perhaps I should get three!

Last year I got a nice tankini and I really enjoyed the modest coverage that I got with that bathing suit. I am thinking that one of my new suits should either be a tankini or a skirtini and then get a nice flowy cover-up to coordinate with it. What do you think?

When it comes to purchasing swimwear, do you like a one-piece, bikini, tankini or skirtini as your main choice? Do you gravitate towards the fun prints or do you like sticking with a classic solid color? Do you buy a cover-up or a sarong skirt to coordinate with it? What about matching sandals and/or flip-flops?

I did go out and buy hubby some new swim trunks and some new beach towels for our trip, along with a huge beach tote!

When we go on our trip, I really would like a coordinated look to my beachwear and I would love to hear your thoughts, ideas and opinions on swimwear. Please leave your comments below! Thanks!

This is a sponsored blog conversation that is brought to you by Downeast, however, all the points and views are my own.

I like one piece swimsuits and tankini. It really depends on what looks good on you.
