Beautiful Fall Foliage in Pennsylvania

Beautiful Fall Foliage in Pennsylvania

Last weekend we headed up to Memorial Lake State Park which is located in Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania for my mother’s 65th birthday party. It was a small family affair with just my mother, my brother & his family along with my daughter and grand daughter.

We rented a pavillion and had a barbecue picnic and then went hiking on the trails around Memorial Lake. Afterwards we ate some more and then took the paddle boats out across the lake. A fabulous family afternoon.

Memorial Lake State Park is 20 to 25 minutes from Harrisburg and the drive was beautiful since the leaves are starting to change. As you can see in this photo that I took at Memorial Lake State Park…they are definitely changing colors now and the trees are getting naked (dropping their leaves)!

We had a wonderful time and although it was chilly outside, it was nice to be out in the crisp fall air! Next year in May, we are going to do it all over again but with more of the family attending. Enjoy!

I love how the foliage changes in the New York/New England area. To me it is one of the prettiest times of the year

I lived in Pennsylvania for 3 years during my teens. The change of seasons is especially lovely in a place like Pennsylvania.

It looks beautiful there. The leaves have pretty much all changed here in MN!
