Fruit Gift Baskets by The Fruit CompanyMy Review: The Fruit Company sent me this adorable Caramel Apple Kit to review for all of you. As you can see, the gift set is not actually packaged in a gift basket but…a black cardboard coffin! ha! I think it is adorable!

Inside my black coffin was everything that I needed to make some caramel coated Halloween apples! There were 6 large Granny Smith Apples, 6 Wooden Sticks, 1 Bag of Caramels, 1 Bag of Almonds (chopped), 1 Bag of Mini M&M’s, 1 Bag of Sprinkles and full instructions on how to make them.

Everything looked so good…I was have tempted to just start eating the apples…but I didn’t! Fruit Gift Baskets by The Fruit Company

Briefly, we washed & dried the apples and stuck the wooden sticks into them. We then unwrapped all of the caramels, added 2 tablespoons of water and melted them in the microwave for approximately 2 minutes. We then dipped our apples into the melted caramel and then rolled our apples into the chopped almonds, sprinkles and/or coated them in the mini M&M candies. It took us less than 20 minutes to make all 6 of these delicious apples!

Everything in this gift set was FRESH and I mean FRESH! Those large Granny Smith Apples were in impeccable FRESH condition, not a single flaw on them! I was really surprised at how quickly we were able to make these delicious tasting caramel apples!Caramel Apples for Halloween

After leaving our apples “set up” which took about 90 minutes or so, the family dug in! We found it best to slice them down into manageable wedges and eat them like that, instead of like a Popsicle as they are pretty large! We all raved and raved about these caramel apples and just as quickly as we made them, they were gone!

I am really impressed with The Fruit Company and I would NOT hesitate in ordering products or gift baskets from this company. Matter of fact, I know where I will be going to pick up a few holiday gifts once the holidays get closer.
