Over the weekend we celebrated my mother’s 65th Birthday and had a great time celebrating her big day with her up at Memorial Lake State Park here in Pennsylvania.
After the party was over, my mother decided to tell my brother and I that she hopes to move down south to a Florida CCRC elegant retirement community later next year! We were really shocked about this news, but at the same time, really happy for her.
Once we got home and I had some time to digest her news, I got online and did some research. I found a beautiful retirement community called Devonshire at PGA National which looks like the perfect retirement community for my mother.
It is located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and the landscaping is just beautiful! The property is really large, 26 acres with plenty of room to roam around.
There are 5 on-site world class dining restaurants for her dining pleasure (and mine when I come to visit LOL) and I really think she would love that since she has always enjoyed fine dining.
There is a club house with a wellness and fitness center. My mother is 65 years old but still…very active! She hikes, walks, golfs and even bowls! I wish I had the energy to keep up with her!
The Devonshire has 3 spacious residencies and all of them have luxurious apartment homes. I think mom would really appreciate the weekly housekeeping services which would free her up to go out and enjoy life even more!
