Every 2 weeks I try to take my wife out for a date night. We both work hard during the day and on top of that she maintains 80% of the housework. When a couple spends a lot of time working…they need to remember to take time out for themselves too! Every marriage needs date days or date nights on a regular basis. It doesn’t have to be weekly, but it does need to be regular.
Last week I took her out to Applebee’s for dinner. We really enjoy their food but avoid the busy primetime hours. We like to go in the late afternoon before the dinner crowd arrives. It’s less busier and a lot more quietier when we’re there. We’re an older couple…so crowds and noise aren’t our type of thing. Sound like you? If so…avoid the weekends and/or primetime hours.
We like to order steaks while at Applebee’s because we can get them cooked to our liking. Their appetizers are vast and always delicious. Cocktails…well, they have those too and I like ordering one to go along with my meal. The servers at our local Applebee’s have gotten to know us and will try to sit us in our favorite area of the restaurant too! Now…that’s some great service!
