Winners for September 21st + Reminder About Our Giveaway Entry Rules

Good Morning Everyone! Yeah…I am so happy that today is Friday and that the weekend is almost here! Hubby and I have a very busy weekend ahead of us and have 3 people coming tomorrow to help us with our home remodeling projects.

Today, I wanted to REMIND everyone about our giveaway entry rules because lately, we have had a lot of cheaters stopping by and trying to put fake entries into our giveaways. So here we go!

1. The mandatory entry listed with EVERY giveaway must be completed “fully” before any of your bonus entries count. This means that you need to answer our question & visit the sponsor’s site. We will NOT accept things like “I like all their products”, “I want to win this”, “My son would love this” and other types of generic nonsense BS entries. The sponsor deserves a FEW minutes of your time in visiting their site and giving us a SPECIFIC answer to the question.

Any non-specific and BS types of answers will be REJECTED and all of your bonus entries will be REJECTED. PERIOD and that is the bottom line!

2. Leaving Twitter Tweet Entries in our giveaways and NOT completing the mandatory entry also gets your ENTRIES tossed! We have had a few folks come in on the last days and just tweet out the giveaway and put it in as their entry. Well that would be great “if” they had completed the mandatory entry.

Folks, we ALWAYS double check to make sure that potential winners complete the mandatory and do so, correctly. When I say “ALWAYS”, I really mean…Always!!!!

3. Please do not enter other giveaways on our site to just earn bonus entries in another. If we select you as the winner, you need to step up and accept the prize! Again, we are having folks enter a slew of giveaways to just earn bonus entries and then ignore us or decline the prize once they win. They ONLY do this to earn bonus entries in the giveaway that they want to win.

This is unacceptable and if you decline a prize or ignore our winner’s notification for the sole fact of not accepting a prize you won only because you entered it to earn bonus entries in another giveaway, we reserve the right to ban you from our giveaways if that behavior continues. It is NOT fair to other people who are entering and it’s certainly not fair to WASTE our time in selecting new winners.

Anyway, We had a few giveaways end late last night so we do have new winners to announce this morning. We used Random.org to select the winner once we verified all entries into the giveaway. We will email the winner and they will have 48 hours to respond to that email to claim their prize. Once 48 hours have passed, we reserve the right to select a new winner.

Winner of the $50 GC to Life’s A Switch Plate is…. Eliza Klinger

Winner of the 5 pack of Hot Sauce Giveaway is… Morgan Lepley

Congrats to both winners! We will be emailing you both shortly so that you can claim your prizes. Have a great weekend everyone!

I’m glad that you actually check the entries and ensure that they are valid! I get this kind of bs on my blog as well, and I swear, I’d say about 25% of the entries are CHEATERS! Why waste your time entering if you are not going to do it right. 🙁 I enter a lot of giveaways myself, and I know I have accidentally press the enter button or forgotten to do something but those are few and far in between. I do not cheat ,why the risk.. so I’m glad to hear that you check them 🙂 I often wonder if bloggers really do verify each one, I’d hate to think that they don’t.

  2. Sorry to hear this type of thing is happening. I have a question though I have a different email address for my twitter than I do for my email because that address is used for my business twitter account could there be a way to let you know that in the contest entry? Also do you use Your newsletter address for notification?

Sorry for all the questions, but if I ever win I don’t want to miss the notification, and I don’t want to have an entry disqualified or be banned because I use a different email address for my twitter.

Thanks so much for offering these wonderful contests (and having a great site, I love hearing the updates on your renovations BTW). Sorry to hear about all the trouble you are going through with the contests and I don’t want to contribute to that.
