You all know by now that I am pretty particular about the products that I put in my hair. Because it is thick and full that means it is also very heavy and sometimes it can take a lot to keep a style for more than a few hours. I really need a spray that can handle my hair but not leave it feeling like glue. So when I got the chance to try out a rather new company and their innovative professional hair care products, I was intrigued.
White Sands Hair Products started in a garage as one families idea and through a lot of perseverance and dedication, White Sands is now known as a professional hair care company that has been making waves throughout the industry. I was sent a sample of their Stuck Up Mega Hairspray to check out for you all.
It has been several years since I actually used a spray mist on my hair. I tend to use a non aerosol pump when using my regular spray, so I knew I needed to practice getting the spray where I wanted it to go on my hair LOL But with a few spritzes here and there, I was ready to rock and roll.
The Stuck Up Mega Hold comes in a tall white can and it is made for holding a hair style for a long time. Hair stylists love it for updo’s and I love it for holding my heavy hair. When I style my hair, there is no rhyme or reason. I just use a blow dryer and lightly brush through it. However it falls is how I am going to work with my hair. My cut is layered so my hair usually falls pretty nicely so there are no struggles.
I simply spray the sides out since I need some fullness with my full face. I then spray the top and use a comb to lift and separate if necessary. Once I am pleased with my “style” lol, I then spray my entire head of hair to lock it in. Using the Stuck Up, I found that while it dries super fast, you can still somewhat work with it, although a bit difficult since it is a Mega Hold and they are not kidding about that! I was able to directionally target certain areas with more spray that needed extra hold.
The Stuck Up has been doing great holding my hair. I do use curling irons occasionally and I saw that this spray is also made for thermal use and that when you heat your hair with a flat iron or curling iron, the sheen is wonderful. Shiney hair is so pretty! So next time I curl my hair for a big night out guess what I will be using to control the hold? You betcha!
I really like this spray. The scent is nice and not over powering. The hold is great and a little goes a long way which is great on the pocket book!
