SYNOPSIS: When trouble strikes at the Blue Mountain Quarry, Thomas is sent to help his Narrow Gauge engine friends. He catches a glimpse of a small engine trying to hide, yet no one will provide any clues to the engine’s identity. Thomas is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery but discovering the truth is harder than he imagined! Will Thomas be able to save his new friend? Or will the mysterious engine be sent away from Sodor forever? Join Thomas and his friends for their most mysterious adventure yet in a movie the whole family will love!
Our Thoughts: My grand daughter and god son get together every 2 weeks or so for paly dates and movie dates. One show/movie that they can both agree on to watch happens to be Thomas & Friends or Thomas the Tank Engine. This DVD has an approximate running time of 64 minutes for the blu-ray version and 61 minutes for the regular DVD which is the perfect length for a “movie” for kids in this age group.
This movie has a really great story line and since it’s a “mystery” it is one that even the older kids would enjoy too. The graphics, characters and sound on this DVD is one of the best I have ever seen on a Thomas & Friends DVD.
I popped some popcorn and the kids sat down on the bean bag chairs to watch it. They were totally glued to the television for the entire length of the movie. Neither one budged off their bean bag chairs! The movie held their attention from start to finish, even hubby enjoyed watching it with them! Since receiving it, the kids have watched it 3 times and each time, they are glued to the TV when it’s on. It’s great having a new video in the house that totally keeps them entertained.
