Taking A Drive Through Downtown Hershey

Hershey's Kisses Street Lights Lamps Chocolate AveLast week we took the grandchildren to Hershey, Pennsylvania. It’s a 20 minute drive from our home. We spent the day in Hershey going to the local zoo called ZooAmerica, visiting Hershey Chocolate World (the factory tour), did a little shopping at the outlet mall and then grabbed dinner from a local restaurant. What a fun day for the family!

One thing that I wanted to show you was the cute Hershey Kiss Candy Shaped Street Lamps or Lights that line the downtown streets. You’ll see silver and chocolate Hershey kisses. The tourists always enjoy seeing them when they come into town for a visit. They don’t line every street…just the downtown main drag when you’re driving through.

Hershey is such a charming town. You’ll see old homes and newer ones. You’ll see a lot of small businesses that are locally-owned. It’s a town where the residents take great pride in keeping it clean, modernized and updated while maintaining its small town charm. There’s a lot to see and do when you’re visiting!
