A friend of ours owns a local orchard and Farmer’s market and today, he dropped off 3 large boxes full of freshly picked lemons! OMG, I don’t think I have ever seen so many lemons in my life! I got lemons coming out of my kitchen in all kinds of directions!!!!
Well, I am going to donate 2 boxes of them to our local food pantry that is run through our church but I do want to keep and use that third box. I was thinking about making some homemade lemonade, lemon flavored sherbet and perhaps a lemon cream pie.
With that said, what else would be simple enough for me to make that would utilize some of these juicy looking fresh lemons? I would love to hear some ideas from all of you as I don’t want to waste any of these lemons! Thoughts, ideas and recipes would be greatly appreciated from all of our fabulous blog readers!

The lemon zest and frozen lemon juice cubes are the best ideas because they use the most lemons. You could also try to slice and dry the slices.
Ha- being a MidWesterner, my only advice was to freeze some of the juice! Some of the best lemons I have ever tasted were Meyers lemons and boy I didnt let a whole lot go to waste. Bet your kitchen smells wonderful with all of those lemons though 🙂
Can make lemon-lime seltzer or soda.
Lemon Pudding would be good as well as Lemon infused salad dressings.lemon/garlic infused oil. That’s so great that you gave the lemons to the local Food Pantry. Good luck with your lemon recipes. 🙂

Thanks ladies for all of the fabulous ideas! My juicer is going to get a workout the next 2 days as I am going to juice them and freeze a lot of the juice and zest. My neighbor gave me a recipe for lemon shortbread cookies and going to try to bake a batch of those along with all of the wonderful ideas you all gave me.
Oh yea Lemon Bars!!! You can also season fish with lemon as well!
Lemon Peppered Chicken, Lemon Marange (sp) Pie, Take some of the lemonade and freeze it in icetrays with popscicle sticks for lemonage popsicles.
Lemon curd is easy and holds well in the refrigerator and is delicious. Plus lemon juice freezes beautifully – they are very expensive here so if they go on sale I buy them, zest them and squeeze them freezing both the zest and the juice. I put the juice in ice cube trays so I have it when I need it.
You can also make preserved lemons but I think that is a process – I’ve never had enough to try it
