Today I wanted to give you all an update on how our home remodeling projects are going. We are now on-track for a move-in date of November 10th. Yeah!
We have the dining room just about done. They got the hardwood floors in, new drywall was hung and it has been painted a pretty cocoa color. We have 2 large windows in the dinning room and now I am looking for window coverings Victoria. Once I get the window coverings purchased and installed, we will be working on finishing up the guest room.
Now…the guest room has been started and hubby got the walls and ceiling painted a pretty light tan color. We are going for a “coastal” look in that room and have been on the hunt for a nice ceiling fan, window treatments for 2 windows and some closet organizers. Once those are done, the new carpet can go in.
The next room on our list will be the kitchen! He already gutted the kitchen so there is nothing in there. The cabinets, counter tops and appliances have arrived but he hasn’t installed them yet. We are hoping we can get the entire kitchen done by the end of the month.
Hubby finished up the new master bathroom last weekend and when we go over to the house this weekend, I will get some photos of it so I can show you all some nice before and after pictures of that. He did all of the tile work himself and I have to admit, the master bathroom is absolutely gorgeous!
Out of all of the rooms that are left to do, the kitchen and living room are going to be the real “time-suckers” because they were never modernized or updated over the years. Matter of fact, the previous home owners really left those two room deteriorate and they are pretty hideous to look at. I am anxious to get them done!
This coming weekend I will make a new blog post and give you all some before/after photos of all of the projects we have been working on for the past 4 months. We are primarily doing everything ourselves, so it has taken a lot longer than we thought.
I am looking for some new window coverings and this Blinds for Home site looks promising. Your really getting a lot done. I am waiting to see the photos.
