For the past few months I have been telling you all about the older home we purchased and have been remodeling it. We are getting closer and closer to having the home completed and hopefully will be moving into it come November 1st.
So far, we have 2 rooms completely done and working on the rest. Some of the things I have been needing for our new home is a few good area rugs (accent rugs) and today, I am pleased to introduce you to the company called Ruggables.
The company sent me their 2-piece 3′ x 5′ Plush Shag Rug in Taupe to review for all of you. We are going for a coastal cottage style decor in most of the rooms in our new home and this Taupe colored rug is perfect for our guest bedroom.
The 2-piece rug system consists of a custom rug pad and the rug cover. The shag rug covers are designed in a way that makes them totally machine washable. They are sensitive to heat so you only want to dry them on the delicate or low heat settings in your home’s dryer. The custom rug pad is not washable/dryable so you will need to spot clean it when needed.
The rug system comes packaged with a little brochure that tells you the application instructions & the care instructions. The custom rug pad is slightly smaller than the rug cover and it’s supposed to be that way so that none of the padding sticks out from under the rug.
We followed the application instructions and attached our rug cover to the custom rug pad. This took us less than 2 minutes to do. Once we had them together, we unrolled the entire thing and took a look at it. Wow, that Taupe color is gorgeous and goes with everything.
The ‘hand’ to this Plush Shag Rug is super soft! I love laying on it with my grand daughter when she comes over to play. We sit and/or lay on it for hours coloring, building puzzles and playing games. It feels like “heaven” underneath your feet! I have never felt a softer rug in my life!
It saddened me 2 days ago that I had to roll it up and store it in my closet as we are getting new hardwood flooring put in later this week and I didn’t want the workers to mess it up. Sorry for my terrible photos but we got paint, flooring, electrical stuff, lighting, etc. all over the place right now as we are doing some major home remodeling projects.
I have owned a ton of area rugs and accent rugs in my lifetime and NONE of them were ever as soft as this one! Heck, I need a nice throw blanket made out of the same material. Yes folks, this rug is that good!
