Fluorescent Round Ceiling Mount Light Fixture

As you all know, my husband and I purchased a 60+ year old home and have been gutting it and remodeling it for the past 4 months. Our move-in date is getting closer and we are pretty excited how it is coming along.

The company sent us their 26-Watt Fluorescent Round Ceiling Mount Light Fixture to review for all of you. We needed a new flush-mount ceiling light to put into our hallway that hubby has been remodeling and this light fixture was perfect for our home. The lighting fixture comes in 3 different finishes: Polished Brass, Rubbed Bronze and Satin Nickel, we choose the Satin Nickel finish.

The lighting fixture includes an energy-efficient, silent, instant-on electronic ballast with no flickering. This fluorescent ceiling light is approximately five times more efficient than a comparable incandescent ceiling fixture of 120 watts. It measures 14″ in diameter by 4 1/8″ high.

It features a smooth base with twist-on faux alabaster glass diffuser that looks classy, stylish and modern. We also received two 13-watt spiral fluorescent lamps which are included with your purchase. It is an energy star qualified lighting fixture!

The lighting fixture comes securely boxed to your home and ours arrived in just a couple of days. When hubby was done prepping our hallway ceiling, he removed our old broken hallway light and began the installation process. The lighting fixture does come with installation instructions which are really easy to understand.

Once he had the lighting fixture installed (took only a few minutes to complete) he then popped in the light bulbs (they are included).

He then took a clean cotton cloth and wiped down the housing unit to remove fingerprints and smudges that he accidentally got on it with his work gloves. I was really surprised at how quickly he got it installed and that the entire process only took a few minutes to complete. Luckily for me, my hubby does this kind of stuff for a living and has done so for 30 years now! yeah me!

Once he had the light bulbs in, it was time to twist-on the beautiful  faux alabaster glass diffuser. I really LOVE the look of that thing and I personally call it a glass globe but I know that is not the correct technical term for it. I think the entire thing looks stylish, classy and ultra modern!

Once done, I flipped on the switch and wow…we finally had light again in that dark hallway! Yeah! A few days after hubby had it installed, a few family members stopped over to see the house and they complimented us on the new light fixture. Everyone who has seen it, loves it!
