Our Review: Today we are reviewing the Fire Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Spread by Robert Rothschild Farms! When it first arrived, I wasn’t sure if my family would like this spread nor was I sure how to use it! The spread came along with a few recipe cards and I also checked out their web site for some recipe ideas.
The spread can be used a variety of ways: add it to pizza sauce, pasta sauce, use as a condiment on sandwiches, spread for crackers & bread rolls or serve the spread as a dip for freshly cut veggies.
The Fire Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Spread contains fire roasted eggplant, red peppers, sweet onions, feta and salty capers which are blended with tart vinegar. Definitely a gourmet vegetable spread!
We decided to cook up some of our favorite pasta and add 2 tablespoons of the vegetable spread to our sauce recipe. We like gourmet tasting sauces so the addition of the Fire Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Spread added some much needed kick to our pasta sauce! My family raved and raved about our pasta dinner that night and gave it a big two-thumbs up!
We had some of the spread leftover in our jar and the following day we used it as a sandwich condiment. We made 6 hoagie style sandwiches and slathered the spread onto each of the hoagies we had prepared. It really added some much needed flavor to our sandwiches and took ho-hum hoagies to a new delicious level! yeah!
We really enjoyed trying this product and I will be purchasing it again. Hubby said he was tired of the same-old-boring sandwiches in his lunch box every day and now I can use this spread as a condiment on sandwiches which totally makes them gourmet and tasty!
