My Mom had a knack for making amazing foods and one of my favorites was her BBQ sauce and marinade, I use this recipe myself and love making BBQ ribs and chicken using this sauce. It is a breeze to whip up and it is very flavorful. I am not sure where Mom got this recipe but it sure makes a delicious homemade sauce that you and your family will love!
Mom’s Traditional Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Cups ketchup
1/4 cup butter – unsalted
1/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
1 TBSP Minced Garlic
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 lemon – halved
Salt
Pepper
Hot Sauce to taste
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring it to a boil. Stir it until the sugar dissolves. Allow it to cool slightly and it is ready to use. Baste your chicken or ribs with the sauce in the last 15 minutes of cooking and watch so it does not burn.
This recipe is relatively simple and since I love all the individual ingredients I’m sure I shall love the entire recipe too.
