A few weeks ago I was contacted and asked if I would like to host a Barbie™ The Princess and The Popstar theme party with my little grand daughter and her friends. Little G is a huge Barbie and Princess fan, so we said yes! We decided to invite several of her 3 and 4 year old friends along with their moms/grandmoms to our little party. Matter of fact, we turned it into a Mommy/Nanny and Me party!
WARNING: This is a graphic intensive post! We were sent a party box and held our party on Saturday, September 1st, 2012. We had 7 little girls in attendance and 5 adults. Our party box included:

We were also given a $20 Visa gift card which I used to purchase glammed up cupcakes, donuts with pink sprinkles, juice boxes, vanilla ice cream and chocolate milk. I then took my own money and purchased some pedicure-at-home kits for the moms/nanny’s who were attending the party. I figured while the girls played and watched the DVD, we could treat ourselves to a fun pedicure. (The moms loved it).
We got the party started and I introduced the new Barbie The Princess & The Popstar Dolls, along with Tori and Keira Dolls to all of the girls and moms in attendance. These little girls absolutely “squealed” with delight! OMG…it was so funny! I showed them all of the special features that goes along with each corresponding doll (some have color changing hair, some sing and the fairy dolls have removable wings. They were “glued” to me like…well…glue! Those girls couldn’t take their eyes off me or those dolls!
I then handed them each a Tiara to put on along with the coloring sheets and goodie bags that I made up for them. They each got Fairy Dolls in their goodie bags and were ripping them open like it was Christmas morning! While they sat there and played with their Fairy Dolls, we put the Barbie™ The Princess and The Popstar DVD on for them to watch. They set up all of their dolls to sit beside them and watch the DVD with them. For the first 15 minutes, their eyes didn’t leave the TV screen. Then one of them got off the sofa and started singing & dancing and the other little girls joined her.
Once the DVD was done we had a snack-time intermission where the girls ate cupcakes, donuts, candy, ice cream and had beverages. Once they were done, I introduced them all to the new Barbie™ The Princess and The Popstar Lights & Music Castle and let me tell you, I couldn’t get that thing set up quick enough for them. You would of thought I had diamonds or something as the girls were all over me like a wet noodle! LOL I showed them all of the special things the castle had to offer and they all got busy playing with it. They didn’t argue or fight…great at sharing and playing together.
While the girls played…the moms & 2 Nanny’s got busy giving ourselves a pampering pedicure. After all, we deserved something too! ha! After 30 minutes had passed, the girls wanted to watch the DVD again, so we put it back on. This time they were more relaxed with singing, dancing and talking to the video and to one another. They had a wonderful time on this Barbie™ The Princess and The Popstar play date!
Each little girl in attendance got to take home a few of the fairy dolls, coloring sheets, song sheets, tiaras, balloons and other goodies that I had provided along with the Barbie items that were shipped to me. Since having this party, all of the adult women in attendance told me that ALL of these girls are requesting the Barbie™ The Princess and The Popstar items for their upcoming birthdays and Christmas. Funny!

Keira doll – In the all-new movie “Barbie™ The Princess and The Popstar”, Tori dreams of singing and dancing like her favorite popstar Keira, while Keira dreams of becoming a princess like Tori. Just like in the film, the Keira doll transforms from popstar to princess. Keira doll trades in her purple hair and performance outfit for sophisticated princess worthy brunette locks and a fancy ball gown. In addition to a cool look that transforms from dress to ‘do, this doll also sings! With a simple touch to her necklace, Keira doll will ‘sing’ two songs from the DVD.
