Back to Nature Mac and Cheese Taste Test Challenge

Back to Nature Mac and Cheese Taste TestMy family loves Mac and Cheese, matter of fact, I make Mac and Cheese for them at least once a week. Sometimes I will make it just like the box directions state and at other times, I add in some additional ingredients to change it up.

I was contacted by Back to Nature and asked to participate in a Mac and Cheese Taste Test Challenge. I knew my family would love this, so I accepted the challenge on their behalf. All of the Back to Nature Mac and Cheese products are made without artificial ingredients and no preservatives have been used. Clearly, those are 2 positives right out of the gate!

For the Taste Test Challenge, I received  a Taste Tester Challenge Pack which contained 4 boxes of Back to Nature Mac and Cheese. I got (1) box of Back to Nature Organic Shells and Cheddar Macroni & Cheese, (1) box of Back to Nature NatureCrazy Bugs Macaroni & Cheese, (1) box of a leading competitor’s brand of Organic Shells and (1) box of a leading competitor’s brand of Shape Pasta.

To adequately participate in this challenge, I made all 4 boxes at the same time and place each one into a different bowl. I was the ONLY one who knew which brand was in which bowl, my family did NOT know!  For the challenge, I had 3 adult guests and 2 kids here to sample the Mac and Cheese.

Everyone got a good heaping spoonful of each of the 4 kinds of Mac and Cheese. All 3 of my adult lunch guests RAVED and RAVED about the Back to Nature Organic Shells & Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese. They loved the texture and flavor of this one the best out of all 4 that they tried. They said that it had a genuine cheesy taste and would definitely purchase that particular one. (hand’s down, they LOVED the Back to Nature Organic Shells & Cheddar Macroni and Cheese and would buy it.)

They didn’t care for the competitor’s brand of Organic Shells at all. They said it didn’t have a good cheesy taste to it and the “texture” felt thick. It wasn’t as smooth and creamy as the first one. They really didn’t like the competitor’s brand at all.

Now…the 2 kids all went for the Back to Nature NatureCrazy Bugs Macaroni & Cheese! They loved the fun bug shapes and the cheesy taste. They also tried the Competitor’s brand of Shape Pasta and while they ate it…you could tell that they preferred the NatureCrazy Bugs. Matter of fact, both kids asked me for more!

To make it clear, the kids did eat both of the shaped pastas and they would eat both of them again. However, they enjoyed the Back to Nature NatureCrazy Bugs more! I am not sure if it was because of the taste or the fact that it was cheesy looking bugs which they found more facinating than the shaped bunnies. The adults didn’t try the shaped pastas as they all were too busy eating the other two types.

Overall, Back to Nature was the CLEAR winner with my family and I would not hesitate in purchasing their pasta products for them. My hubby has already asked me to get more of their Back to Nature Organic Shells and Cheddar Macroni & Cheese!
