Canned fish or seafood is ready when you are. It’s a convenient alternative to fast food, and it’s generally lean, healthful and convenient. Many tins are also interchangeable, so you can substitute what you have on hand, something you can’t do with fresh seafood.

The key to cooking with canned seafood is that it has to be treated as a different species from fresh fish, it’s flavors & textures are different. These delicious and creative recipes work with these differences and elevate canned seafood to something sublime.

I decided to make their recipe called Deviled Eggs with Tuna because my family loves deviled eggs but I have never used tuna in my recipe before. The recipe in the book is really simple and it only took a little bit of time to prepare (plus, I had all ingredients on-hand). Later that evening, I served these Deviled Eggs to my family as an after-dinner snack. They were a little skeptical about having the tuna in the recipe but after just one quick taste-test, they were hooked!
I love that the recipes in the book are all laid out nicely and almost all of them use ingredients that you can readily find in any grocery store. Most recipes even come with a few quick & easy preparation tips which is also nice too! The only drawback to the cookbook is that there is not a lot of color photos of the finished recipe dishes. I like cookbooks that are LOADED with color photos and this book does have some, but not many. Other than that, I LOVE this cookbook and look forward to trying out several recipes from it over the coming weeks!
