Things to See and Do in Martha’s Vineyard
Several years ago, My husband and I took a romantic vacation up to the Cape Cod area, and had a fabulous time! It was our 20th Wedding Anniversary and we wanted to go some place different to celebrate.
When you travel to Cape Cod, you can find a lot of Marthas Vineyard hotels at varying price points. You can find luxury accommodations, modest accommodations or stay in a bed and breakfast for a real pampering treat! We decided upon luxury accommodations when we visited Cape Cod!
There are a ton of things to see and do while vacationing up at Marthas Vineyards and here are a few of the things we enjoyed doing.
* Kayaking – We rented some kayaks and went boating! We spent 2 afternoons kayaking around the bays and loved it!
* Sun Bathing and Hiking – We did this a lot and one of our favorite places to just hang out on the beach was at the Cape Cod National Seashore! It’s beautiful and there are a lot of free activities you can do while on the beach!
* Whale Watching – You can go into Barnstable and purchase tickets to go out on a whale watching cruise! Oh my gosh, this was one of the highlights from our trip to Cape Cod!
* Biking – My husband and I love to ride bikes so we rented 2 bicycles while on vacation and pedaled all around town. You can find beautiful bike trails downtown and there are numerous ones that run along the beach. This was totally fun and we really enjoyed biking around Cape Cod!
* Arts & Culture: The area has some of the best museums and art galleries that we have ever visited! If you enjoy visiting art galleries and museums, Marthas Vineyard has several that you would enjoy.
In-between enjoying all of the wonderful activities that Marthas Vineyard has to offer, make sure you enjoy some fine dining time too! The seafood up north is absolutely fantastic!
If you are looking for a new vacation destination, Marthas Vineyard should be at the top of your list for consideration. Happy Traveling!
