Need to get our Oriental Rug Cleaned

Hubby and I have finally begun the process of cleaning out our stuff and packing it up for the big move. We would like to be completely out of our townhouse by the end of October and into the new house by November 1st.

We have been spending a lot of time going through our things and downsizing our belongings. Wow, what a major task this is because we have lived in the same townhouse for the past 15 years. Amazing what things we accumulate over time!

We were looking at our area rugs last night and I realized that several of them could use a good professional cleaning. I got online and looked for New York Oriental rug cleaning and found a place that can service our rug cleaning needs. We paid a lot of money for our 2 oriental rugs and 4 area rugs, so I always leave the cleaning to professionals.

After we get the rugs cleaned, we will take them over to the house since our new flooring is going in this weekend. Once the flooring and rugs are down, we plan on taking over about 1/2 of our furniture. We are hoping to start spending weekends over at the house and week days over at the townhouse.

Hopefully by splitting our current living arrangements, we can get more of our home remodeling projects done. The next room we want to tackle is the new kitchen which was gutted a few months ago. The cabinets and appliances have arrived and now hubby has the task of putting them all in.

While hubby is working on the kitchen, I will be working on the smaller guest bedroom. It is currently pink and I don’t do pink rooms! blah! We are changing the color scheme over to khaki walls, white trim and going for a coastal beach theme. Inviting, laid-back and relaxing. I think our guests will love it once it has been completed.
