When it comes to bath, body and skincare products, I am really picky about the products I use and put onto my skin. I like the products that I use to be natural and/or organic in nature, and I want them to deliver results. Having those same products smell good, well, that is an added bonus too!
The company we are featuring today is called “A Wild Soap Bar” based out of Austin Texas. This is a family owned & operated business that got it’s start back in 1995. This company believes that natural and organic products are the way to go, and I totally agree with them on that!
When you shop at “A Wild Soap Bar” you will find organic bar soaps, castile liquid soaps, organic balms & oils, natural soap dishes and unique handmade gifts.
My Review: The company sent me 3 of their Organic Body Balms to review for all of you. If you are not familiar with what a body balm is, it’s a moisturizing balm in a solid form. It’s not a liquid like lotion and not creamy like a body butter. A balm just melts nicely on your skin when you apply it.
The body balms that I received are in their Honey-Oat (Fragrance-Free), Prickly Pear and Wild Weeds with Vitamin E formulations. Body Balms are really nice for those who hate the stickiness of creams, lotions and oils. They are also great for those of you who travel or those of you who want to keep a body balm at work, at school or at the gym. They are portable and you don’t have to worry about spillage.
When using a balm, you should apply it to your skin and/or lips regularly. I like to use them 2-3 times a day as I have really dry skin during the summertime. You should keep your body balms protected from extreme heat as you don’t want heat to melt them.
For the first few days I tried the Prickly Pear and out of the 3 I tried, this one was my favorite. It has a light and fresh fragrance to it and contains aloe vera which has been proven for years to soften skin. I used it on my hands, elbows, knees and the bottom of my feet. Ahhhh so soothing and my skin feels buttery soft after use.
The next one that I tried was the Honey Oat which is fragrance free. I decided to try this one out on my lips as I am usually a big lip balm user. I just dipped my fingertips into the balm and gently applied it onto my lips. It glides on like butter and your lips are super kissable after use. I love that there is no fragrance and trust me, the softness lasts for hours before you have to reapply.
The third one that I received is called Wild Weeds and when I opened the jar, I was expecting it to smell like grass! LOL It doesn’t! My husband got a whiff of it and actually stole it from me. He has been applying it to his super dry knees, elbows and after he shaves, he likes to apply some of this balm on his chin and around his nose. (he gets irritated in those areas after shaving). He loves the Wild Weeds Body Balm!
Overall, I am really impressed with these organic body balms and a little bit goes a long way! They are super affordable at only $12.00 per jar! Yeah!!! We give them a big two-thumbs up!
