A Height Adjustable Table

August 3, 2012 by Shelly

Next weekend my husband will begin work over at the house on remodeling my home office. I have been really thinking about the furnishing that I want to put into my new office and I decided upon two height adjustable tables. Have any of you ever seen them? If so, what did you think about them?

I decided to go with two so that both my husband and I would have one. We are going to split the home office into two sections, half for him and half for me. What really attracted me to these types of tables are four things:

* The height is adjustable! I am 5 foot 6″ tall and hubby is almost 6 ft. tall. We can adjust them to our own individual height.

* Next, millions of people are overweight and that holds true for those who work from home. This is partly due to us all sitting at a desk and being immobile. With these height adjustable tables, I can choose to stand while working which builds muscle tone, burns calories and helps to promote a more healthy back since I won’t be slumped over at a desk and chair all day long.

* Next, they are light-weight, lighter in weight than your traditional solid wood desk, so I can move them all over the room…heck, I could move them all over the house if I wanted to!

* Finally, I was thinking that these type of tables would be expensive but they are well within our price range. Matter of fact, they are cheaper than most solid wood desks that I had looked at. Affordable, yes indeed!

For those of you who work from home and/or have home offices, have you ever considered getting one? Do any of you own one? I would love to hear your thoughts on this!
