Terrifying Storm Clouds & Severe Summer Storms

Storm Clouds & Severe Summer Storms

Last Thursday evening some terrible thunderstorms rolled in to South Central Pennsylvania and they were pretty scary! We knew the bad weather was coming so most of us were prepared.

Hubby is a storm freak and loves to watch storms. I on the other hand…hate them and try to avoid them. Anyway, we went out on the back deck just as the storm was coming in and saw a huge black wall of clouds! It really was something to see and for 2 days they yapped about these terrifying storm clouds on our local news. I have never seen clouds like that before!

Our solar outdoor lights came on at 4pm that day as it was so dark outside. We ended up getting about an inch of rain in 45 minutes, howling winds, a lot of thunder and lightning. The wind and clouds were swirling around in a circular motion so we went down into the basement until it was over! Something I hope to not see again anytime soon!

Storms are so scary! I think that is the same day we received some nasty storms. My husband loves them too.

I live in SW PA and we got those storms about 5 am. They woke me from a sound sleep – I think they scared me awake. I love storms, but this was scary. The lightening and thunder felt like it was sitting on my roof. It make my house shake and even knocked a few things off of some shelves. The lightening was like a strobe light gone haywire. My dogs were terrified and tried to suffocate me, lol! But we survived and I was shocked to get up and not see any damage – only a few leaves and small branches down here and there.
