Beautiful and Delicious Pistachios

August 8, 2012 by Classystaff

If you read my posts, you probably remember that I have mentioned several times how I live in the agriculture area of California, known by many as the Fruit Bowl. We are actually in an area between 2 mountain ranges that creates a bowl effect in the valley here. But within this valley is nice farmland that allows for amazing varieties of fruits, veggies and other crops to be plentiful.

Pistachios are a large crop in this area and one day as my hubby and I were coming home from the “city”, we took some of the back roads home and I decided to do a tour of California crops for you all, since most of our readers are from other parts on the US. Today I am going to feature a few pictures of a Pistachio tree so you can see how they are grown and how pretty they are! Hope you Enjoy!

Over the next few weeks I will share more images of the California Crops. Follow us on Almost Wordless Wednesday!

I did not know how pistachio trees looked. I always try to buy them on sale with a coupon. I don’t have them fresh at a produce stand

Love pistachios, but, now that everything is so expensive, I only have them as a special treat.
