We have another great addition today to our “End of Summer Entertaining” Blog Event and with great pleasure I get to introduce you all to Cat Cora who is a world renowned chef! Cat has appeared on several television shows and in 2005 she won Food Network’s Iron Chef contest! Cat has also been featured in numerous cooking and foodie related publications.
Today we are reviewing the 8-inch Chef Knife by Cat Cora for all of you. Any time you are entertaining you always need a good quality chef knife! This is a stone polished molybdenum-vanadium high-carbon German stainless steel knife. It features a triple-riveted walnut handle that feels good in your hands!
Here are some of the Knife’s features:
* Tapered bolster allows blade edge to be fully exposed for top performance.
* Bolstered handle for extra durability.
* 2.5mm forged blade with tapered finish for improved performance.
* Well-balanced knife for comfort & stability.
* Ergonomic shaped handle for a safe & secure grip.
* Walnut wood handle for a rich, long-lasting finish.
* Comes with a protective sheath for safe storage in drawers.
I have owned many knives in my lifetime and I am going to admit right upfront, this Chef Knife is one of my favorites! It’s a weighty knife, but well-balanced. It fits comfortably in my small hands or in my husband’s large hands. I love the shape and length of it’s blade…it just glides through whatever I am cutting, like butter!
I love using these big Chef Knives on melons as cutting through a melon rind or skin is a difficult task when you own a crappy knife. With that said, I chopped up a watermelon, cantaloupe and a honey dew with absolutely no problems! I then used this knife to slice down a fresh pineapple and again, it worked like a dream! I can not say enough GREAT things about this wonderful Chef Knife from Cat Cora!
