Good Morning Everyone! Well, I spent 12 hours in the Emergency Department last night for this dang pain in my leg. I finally got my CT Scan and an Ultrasound done on my entire leg. While it was painful, I am glad it is done. I do not have a blood clot which is GREAT NEWS! The bad news is that they think my disease called Porphyria is rearing it’s ugly head again and causing me nerve, muscle and bone pain down my leg. Ugh, just what I needed right now.
They gave me some good meds last night IV which did help with the pain but this morning those have worn off. Tired as crud this morning since I didn’t get any sleep last night since I was at the ED all night. Tomorrow morning going to see my doc for a plan of action so hopefully this latest “flare up” will get taken care of soon.
On a bright note, I was very impressed with our local ED (Emergency Department) last night. I went in, registered and was immediately seen. I was getting my tests done within 20 minutes of arriving to the ED. Usually it’s hours upon hours upon hours of waiting! Super impressed for sure!
