A couple of weeks ago I told you all about this special upcoming Birthday party that I was hosting for myself on June 30th. My 45th birthday was here and I wanted to celebrate my big birthday with a few of my bestest friends!
The great folks over at Fox wanted to help me celebrate so they sent us the new Mirror Mirror Movie starring Julia Roberts along with some Mirror Mirror theme’d branded products. They also included a $50 gift card to Walmart so I could pick up some party supplies.
I used the card at Walmart and picked up a bunch of pampering goodies for me and my friends. After all, it was a movie view party and a spa party, all rolled up into one. I picked up some face masques, sugar foot scrubs, salty body scrubs, body lotions, body butters, nail polishes and some snacks and beverages for our big party!
An hour before my girlfriends arrived I put all of our spa goodies out onto one of my tables with a nice floral print tablecloth. On another table I placed all of our snacks and beverages for the party.
Once my 7 friends arrived we started off by pampering our feet. We soaked them in salts and then scrubbed them down with salt scrubs or sugar scrubs. Once we were done with that, we took turns giving each other nice foot massages. ohhhh did those feel good!
We then sat down to watch the Mirror Mirror on Blu-Ray DVD and while watching the movie we snacked on some appetizers and consumed some delicious tasty cocktails. This movie was fantastic! I have always been a Julia Robert’s fan since her days as “Pretty Woman” and wow, I like her even more in Mirror Mirror. You have got to go out and buy this movie (just released on June 26th) as I think it makes a great movie for you to watch with your girlfriends for a “girls nite in”.

Once the movie was over we pampered our faces with some good cleansing washes, toners and facial masques. That was super fun as we laughed and laughed at one another with green masques on our faces. Just like Julia Roberts in the movie, we wanted to make sure that we get rid of any “crinkles” that we had and we wanted to make sure we don’t get any “crinkles” in the future! LOL
Reduce Those Evil Wrinkles – The queen hated her “crinkles” so she turned to home remedies to help minimize them. We suggest cutting seedless grapes, then crushing them to apply to face and neck. Repeat daily. The antioxidant properties of the grapes remove pesky ‘crinkles!’
I really enjoyed spending times with my girlfriends for my birthday and having a movie viewing party and combination home spa party was so much fun! We often don’t get time during our busy lives to just sit down and pamper ourselves and be silly like we used to do when we were younger.
Too bad none of them would let me photograph them with the “green” and “blue” facial masques on so for now…you all get to see everyone’s pretty feet! LOL
After all of that…it was presents time and each of my friends gave me a little present for my Birthday! Yeah! I was totally surprised about that but super glad that I got a little spoiling for my special day!
Since the party, hubby and I also sat down to watch Mirror Mirror together and I have to tell you, as a guy, he loved the movie just as much as us girls! wootwoot!
I would personally like to thank Fox and Mirror Mirror for supplying us with the DVD and all of the Pampering Goodies for my special Birthday and Movie Viewing Party! We had a great time doing this and we are now going to do it a few times a year! yeah!
