Today I am here to tell you all about the new Kia Rio and the Los Angeles Geocache Challenge that 2 teams of best-friends recently got to participate in. I don’t know about all of you, but that Geocache Challenge sure sounds and looks like a lot of fun! Just check out the video below!
What did you think of that video? Super fun! The winning team got to meet Christina Milan and while they were participating in the challenge they got to drive the new Kia Rio! You have got to check out the Rio Explorer Page as that is one HOT looking car! I know I personally would love that car to zip around my own neighborhood or to travel around the country.
The new Kia Rio has Bluetooth capabilities, a USB jack, in-car navigation, rear camera display, lots of great sounding speakers so you can jam out to your favorite tunes, push button start with smart key, idle stop and go system, cruise control which is really nice for highway and long distance traveling, power windows, a great air conditioning system which is a must–have this summer, tilt & telescopic steering column and so much more! I love 5-door cars and the Kia Rio would definitely suit me just fine!
One thing that really interests me about the Kia Rio os the UVO Technology entertainment system that is powered by Microsoft and we all know that Microsoft is the leader in high-tech products! The UVO system uses the power of your voice to operate the radio, phone, etc. which truly allows you to concentrate on your driving. I think that is a valuable safety feature for sure as way too many accidents occur when folks are playing with their radios and phones and not watching the road! It’s rear camera display offers an extra-set of eyes when backing up. Totally cool! My hubby definitely needs more luxury systems like that in his car!
Now let me tell you some more indepth-info about the LA Geocache Challenge. The teams had to race around LA and visit 5 different areas to look for clues. Those areas include:
* Griffith Park Merry-go-round – which is a historic LA landmark and has been around since 1937. Walt Disney used to take his kids to this merry-go-round before the Walt Disney World was built.
* Amoeba Records – This is a historic and popular music store in LA where patrons can purchase vintage records, new records and even catch a live show from time to time too!
* Rodeo Drive – I think we have all heard of that drive before, haven’t we ladies? yes we have! I totally would love to go shopping some time down Rodeo Drive and I am sure I would find several things that I really need! hahaha!
* Pink’s Hot Dogs – This famous hot dog joint serves up delicious tasting hot dogs that are named after numerous favorite celebrities. Totally fun!
* The Roosevelt Hotel – This famous hotel is located right in the middle of all of the action on Hollywood Blvd. and has been a favorite for years among celebrities and vacation travelers.
Personally, I think the Amoeba Records challege was the hardest for the 2 teams because they had to search for a Christina Milian record among thousands of records!
I wish I could of taken the challenge throughout L.A. to meet a superstar and the star I would love to meet some day is…Jon Bon Jovi! I have been in love with him forever!!!! If I could do a Zip & Dash challenge I think I would choose to do it through South Beach in Florida. If you could choose to do a Zip & Dash challenge where would you want your challenge to be hosted at?
