Hubby Wants a Movie Converter for an iPod

July 23, 2012 by Shelly

My husband’s 51st Birthday is quickly approaching and over the weekend he handed me a short list of items he would like this years for his Birthday gifts.

At the very top of his list was an ImTOO iPod movie converter and I had no clue what the heck that was. I got on the internet this morning and did a little research on what the item was and to see exactly what it could do.

From what I understand it is a converter that converts video from several different kinds of video formats into videos (movies) that hubby can watch on his iPod. My husband is a total movie buff (over 3,000 DVDs in his collection) and this converter can convert his AVI, MPEG, HD MOV, HD WMV and other movie formats into iPod MPEG-4 and MP4 video formats for him.

Since he has a MAC, I had to look for a special one that is an iPod converter for Mac so that it will work with his current computer operating system. He loves his MAC but I still prefer the old-fashioned PC.

I was thinking that something like this would be expensive to purchase but was pleasantly surprised to see that it costs less than $30.00. What a fabulous price point!

Since hubby travels a lot for business, he could use the converter to transfer some of his movies over to his iPod. Then when he is out on the road traveling for business, he can simply sit and watch his favorite movies on his iPod instead of renting them at $20.00 a pop from the hotel. Huge Savings for sure!

Do any of you have an iPod movie converter? If so, did you find it easy to use?
