Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Educational Insights based out of Southern California. Educational Insights is the manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, including subject-specific classroom products, teacher resources, educational toys, and games. Their products are designed by seasoned educators and parents who know that children love to learn when you make that learning experience fun!
When you visit the Educational Insights online web site you will find that it’s really easy to navigate. The web site has three tabbed categories which are the sections for Parents, Teachers and Classroom Jeopardy. Since I am a mother and grandmother…I could spend hours just browsing around their parent’s section of the web site. In addition, purchasing educational toys and games for my 3 yr. old Little G is important to me as I want her to be learning while having fun playing.
Our Review: We received the GeoSafari Plankton Net from Educational Insights to review for you. This product is for children ages 8 and up, but younger children could use it with close adult supervision.

The set includes: The removable transparent bottle with attachment cap & magnfication spots, the mesh plankton net which has sturdy handles and a tow rope attachment ring and the set comes with a laminated waterproof plankton identification chart for fresh and salt water species.
I will admit upfront that we have not used this product. I have taken it out of the box, inspected it and looked it over really well. We live in the city so I am not near a lake, pond, stream, river or ocean. With that said, we do own a condo down at the Jersey Shore and go down to the beach several times a year.
We will be taking this product with us down to the beach the beginning of August and teaching Little G how to catch Plankton. I have reviewed numerous products for Educational Insights over the past 1 1/2 years and I have never been disappointed with any of them, ever! We are huge fans of their products and when I am not reviewing them, I am buying them!
