Finding a Good Boca Raton Lawyer

July 12, 2012 by Shelly

A friend of mine got married about 16 years ago and moved down to Boca Raton shortly thereafter. Her and her husband Scott were happily married for 14 years but the last 2 years have been extremely rough for them both.

Gabby called me a few days ago to tell me that she is looking for a good Boca Raton Lawyer because she is going to file for a divorce. I will admit, I was not shocked about this news as I knew they have been having issues for the past 2 years after she caught him having an affair.

Choosing a Lawyer- What You Should Look For

I feel really badly for them both as I know Gabby put everything she had into this marriage and even though they will be divorcing, she still loves him. With that said, Scott doesn’t want the divorce but isn’t willing to give up his mistress. I guess he feels he needs a wife and a mistress but thankfully, Gabby is kicking him to the curb.

Anyway, Gabby was telling me how she got online and did a quick search and found a divorce lawyer to handle her case. Gabby and Scott both agreed that they don’t want a nasty and bitter divorce because they have 4 children who will be affected if it gets out of control. They are going for one of those new peaceful divorces for the sake of the kids. Have you ever heard of a peaceful divorce? I haven’t but I wish other divorcing couples would take note of that!

She also told me that her new lawyer comes highly rated by the Florida Bar and has a good reputation for playing fair. She seems to really like him and things are going well so far. They are hoping to have the divorce settled and finalized by the end of August.

I think it’s really important to find a good law firm to handle your case, no matter what type of case it is and it’s equally important to find lawyers who are registered with their state bar.

I will be seeing Gabby later next month when I head down to Florida to visit my sister and hopefully us girls can go out for a girls night out and have us some fun!
