Decorative Window Films by Wallpaper for Windows
Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Wallpaper for Windows who makes a decorative line of window films. This company carries etched window film designs, stained glass window film designs and privacy window film designs.
These window films are an easy way for you to customize the look of your glass windows and doors. The vinyl clings apply to your glass within minutes and will not harm your glass at all. They are adhesive-free and you simply apply them to the glass using a little water and a few drops of liquid hand soap.
Our Review: The company sent us a roll of their Atlantis Stained Glass Window Film to review for all of you. As you all know, we are gutting and remodeling an old house and hope to move into it come September. The windows in this old house need some serious help. We have been sanding them down and repainting them!
The one bedroom has 3 windows that face a busy street and sidewalk. The room is kind of small so I didn’t want to do a full drapery treatment on the windows which would block sunlight. I decided to do the decorative window film on the bottom panes of the windows and a cafe length window topper across the top. This way light will come in but yet we will still have privacy.
The stained glass window film can be ordered precut or you can order it and trim it to the size that you need. The film arrived rolled up along with the instructions and a squeegee. We measured our windows and then measured the vinyl film. We decided to add a 1/2″ to all of our measurements and then trim again after the application was completed.
We cleaned our windows and dried them. We then prepared a spray bottle with regular tap water and a few drops of liquid hand soap (per instructions) and soaked down the windows. Wetter, the better! We peeled the vinyl film off the backing sheet and applied it to the glass window. We found it easier to start in the center of the window and work out. You use the squeegee to push the water out from under the vinyl film and I just dried that up with a few paper towels once it reached the window’s edge. Once done, hubby trimmed the film using a razor knife so that we had the perfect size for each window.
Each window took us about 5 minutes to do…so in less than 15 minutes, all 3 of the windows were done! The windows look AMAZING from the inside and from the outside! We know have our privacy but yet the sunlight can still come in! I am now really excited to get the walls painted, the new carpet put in and then I can work on my window topper treatments. Yeah!!!
We have found the decorative window films by Wallpaper for Windows to be fantastic! They arrive super quickly to your home, apply in only a few minutes and you can tell that it’s high-quality window film! We just love it!
If you want to spruce up the look of your glass windows and/or doors, head on over to Wallpaper for Windows! I think you will be impressed with all of their lovely designs and their prices are super affordable! yeah!
