Columbia Gorge Organic CoGoBar Snack Bars

Is your day so busy you don’t have time for breakfast or you have to work through lunch? I have an organic snack bar that is healthful and hunger busting. It is called a CoGoBar. CoGoBars are an organic food bar made by Columbia Gorge Organic in Hood River, Oregon. The bars are made from their own organic CoGoMix TM and gluten free bake mix. Organic whole fruits, chocolate, nuts and omega rich seeds are added for wonderful flavor.

The Stewart Family started their organic farm in Hood River several years ago and the business has been carried on through the generations. The farm is a “green” farm and grows most of the stone fruit used in their products. Some of the products used in these bars are pears, brown rice, quinoa, amaranth, and millet, which have all been certified organic. The Stewart farm also sells organic juices too.

I received 5 flavors of their bars to try for you. There is the:
Superberry CoGoBar
Almond Banana CoGoBar
Peanut Chocolate Chip CoGoBar
Hemp Apricot CoGoBar
Double Chocolate CoGoBar

I decided to do a taste testing with my family. My granddaughter loved the double Chocolate bar with it’s mini chocolate chips. She said it is like eating a chocolate brownie granola bar. She took some to work with her and let her co-workers taste them. Now she is ready to order some cases to take to work for her breaks and to share with her co-workers.

My daughter-in-law loved the Almond Banana Bar and my son liked the Hemp Apricot the most. I liked all of the flavors but I particularly liked the flavors of the Peanut Chocolate Chip bar and the Superberry. I really like that these bars are gluten-free, vegan, 2 soy free and have no refined sugars. One thing I did not care for much was that I was not fond the the gritty residue left in my mouth afterward. I realize the residue is made up of the seeds that are used. It did not bother any of my family, so must be me.

Overall the flavors are terrific and the fact that this is a organic products makes me happy. I do not enjoy many of the products laden with chemicals and fake fruits. Swing by the site and check out all of the different products that the Columbia Gorge Organic produces. I think you may enjoy it!
